Therefore, to be granted an operating license by the Department of Health, BeDental Dentistry must complete and meet the following basic standards:

Standards for the Clinic Subject

BeDental Dentistry is registered as a company, operating across various provinces and cities. In the business registration profile, BeDental registers activities related to medical examination and treatment.

Standards for Facilities

  • BeDental has a clear clinic address, separate from residential households.
  • BeDental ensures compliance with legal radiation safety regulations regarding the use of radiation equipment (X-ray machines and dental chairs).
  • BeDental has a dedicated area that meets standards for performing Implant placement activities.
  • BeDental has a minimum area of 10m² and a patient reception area (except for Health Consulting Rooms or consulting rooms via information technology and telecommunications).
  • Odonto-Stomatology specialized clinics with more than 01 dental chair must ensure an area of 5m² for each dental chair.

Standards for Medical Equipment

  • Medical equipment and instruments must be fully provided corresponding to the scope of professional activities registered by the facility.
  • On each floor of BeDental, there are anti-shock medicine boxes and sufficient specialized emergency medicines.
  • BeDental Dentistry is fully equipped with information technology, telecommunications, and equipment suitable for the registered scope of operation.
  • BeDental is required to have medical waste bins and a medical wastewater treatment area that meets standards according to legal regulations.

Standards for Clinic Personnel

The person in charge of technical expertise of the specialized clinic must meet the following conditions:

  • Specialist doctors at BeDental possess practicing certificates suitable for the specialty registered by the clinic.
  • BeDental doctors have at least 54 months of experience in examination and treatment in that specialty.

In addition to the person in charge of technical expertise, other individuals working in the clinic who perform medical examination and treatment must have practicing certificates and be assigned work suitable for the professional scope stated in their certificates.

Environmental standards

BeDental Dentistry understands the importance of environmental factors to the quality and safety of a dental facility. Therefore, BeDental is built to ensure several basic environmental standards as follows:

Standards for Disinfection and Sterilization at the Dental Clinic

Sterilization is the entire process of sterilizing dental instruments. This is evaluated as one of the important standards to prevent the risk of cross-infection of diseases transmitted through blood and saliva during procedures. All activities at BeDental must ensure:

  • Doctors/Dental assistants must wear gloves, caps, goggles, masks, and clean their hands thoroughly during treatment sessions.
  • Costumes of doctors/dental assistants must be autoclaved before and after use.
  • Gloves are always replaced after each use for customers.
  • Surfaces on equipment: dental chairs; operating tables; instrument trays; handpieces; etc., are disinfected with spray.
  • All heat-resistant examination and treatment instruments are used only once or sterilized according to a strictly monitored closed process.
  • Cleaned instruments must be individually packaged and absolutely sterile.
  • All instruments need to be autoclaved at a temperature of 121°C – 134°C (for 15 – 30 minutes).

Standards for Clinic Waste Management

Waste from dental clinics (especially the X-ray area) needs to be treated to ensure safety for the surrounding environment. BeDental builds a standard framework for clinic waste as follows:

  • Wastewater collected from the dental clinic needs primary treatment using trash racks to remove large pollutants before entering the treatment system.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of trash racks and the waste treatment system are performed quarterly.
  • The waste treatment process includes all necessary steps, designed to ensure transmission speeds suitable for wastewater treatment speeds.
  • The wastewater treatment system applies biotechnology with anoxic and aerotank treatment tanks combined with MBR membrane filtration technology meeting QCVN 28/2010/BTNMT standards.

Standards for the Working Environment

All medical staff, dentists, and customers at BeDental live and work in an environment ensured according to ISO 45001:2018 standards.

  • Identify hazards and risks associated with dental activities/jobs; seek to eliminate them or control them to minimize impact.
  • BeDental establishes operational controls to manage risks that may occur in the working environment.
  • Raise awareness of BeDental employees about working environment risks.
  • Ensure workers have an active role in contributing to working environment standards.

Practicing certificate standards

BeDental Dentistry possesses a powerful team of experts, doctors, and assistants. Holding a practicing certificate is a top condition for working at BeDental. Some criteria for being granted a dental practicing certificate include:

  • Doctors/Dental assistants at BeDental must at least possess an Intermediate Medical degree or higher.
  • Doctors/Dental assistants at BeDental have at least 18 months of experience at a competent state medical facility before obtaining the certificate.
  • Doctors/Dental assistants at BeDental must undergo continuous training in dental practice certification courses.
  • Doctors/Dental assistants at BeDental are in good health and undergo periodic health check-ups.
  • All employees at BeDental Dentistry are not currently serving sentences, nor are they suspended or under work discipline.
  • Lead doctors at BeDental Dentistry can only register technical expertise responsibility for one facility and cannot register at two or more dental facilities simultaneously.
  • Dental practicing certificates allow medical staff to operate within the scope of: common examination and treatment; orthodontics; tooth filling and endodontic treatment; incising and draining abscesses, scaling, tooth extraction; Implant placement (1-2 teeth per procedure); Oral minor surgery.
